Explain the Friar’s unusual plan by completing the list below: On Wednesday night Juliet will… get married Juliet will feel…. Th
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

The correct answers are:

On wednesday night Juliet will drink the distilling liquor.

Juliet will feel A cold and drowsy humor and will fall asleep.

Thursday morning Paris will find her "dead" in her bed.

Then Juliet's family will take her to the Capulets family vault.

In the meantime, Friar Laurence will tell Romeo about her plans.

Finally, Romeo will see Juliet waking up and take her to Mantua.

Explanation:

This was Friar Laurence's perfect plan. He tells Juliet that she should go and marry Paris, that he would give her a liquor and that when she drank it she would fall asleep, but on the outside she would seem dead for 42 hours. Enough time for Paris to find her "dead" in her bed and the family can take her to the family vault. Once there, Juliet would wake up from her dream and her great love, Romeo, would be waiting for her to be able to escape to Mutua together.

The plan seemed perfect, except that Romeo received the news of Juliet's death before receiving the letter from Friar Laurence, which caused him to kill himself, and by the time Juliet woke up and saw him dead, she also decided to kill herself .

Where do you see poe in his stories
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

In both "The Black Cat" and "The Tell-Tale Heart," the main characters open the narratives by convincing the reader he is not mad. The narrator then proceeds to explain why this is the case, and the story provides justification for his actions. The narrators believe their mental health is critical information for the reader to grasp, causing the reader to wonder if they are really crazy after all. The murder victims of both stories share similar characteristics, for instance, the victims' eye is an important aspect of both. In "The Tell-Tale Heart," the entire purpose of killing the old man was to rid the narrator of his cloudy blue vulture eye. The narrator of "The Black Cat" was also disturbed by eyes as he gouged out his own cat's eye and his new cat possessed an eye deformity. The eye is very significant as it is a key factor that leads the narrator into murder. The murderers also shared very personally, intimate relationships with their victims. The narrator of "The Tell-Tale Heart" repeatedly expressed his love for the old man, and the narrator of "The Black Cat" killed his beloved wife and two favorite pets. It was interesting to discover that the thing the two narrators loved most was their object of affection, yet it became the thing they decided to kill.

Hope this helps, have a nice day/night! :D

madreJ [45]

Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

Read this excerpt from Harriet Tubman: Conductor on the Underground Railroad.

Unfortunately, the discovery was almost always made on a Sunday. Thus a whole day was lost before the machinery of pursuit could be set in motion. The posters offering rewards for the fugitives could not be printed until Monday. The men who made a living hunting for runaway slaves were out of reach, off in the woods with their dogs and their guns, in pursuit of four-footed game, or they were in camp meetings saying their prayers with their wives and families beside them.

According to the excerpt, why does Tubman plan escapes for late Saturday night or early Sunday morning?

Safe houses on the Underground Railroad operate only on Sundays, when everyone else is working. Such activities as attending church are common on Sundays, so people are less likely to notice they are missing.  Slave trackers do not work on Sundays, so Tubman’s group has more lead time before people start looking for them.  Tubman and her group know exactly where slave trackers are on Sundays, so they know how to avoid them.

Answer:

Slave trackers do not work on Sundays, so Tubman’s group has more lead time before people start looking for them.

Explanation:

According to the excerpt shown above, we can see that Truman wants to flee between Saturday night and Sunday morning, because the trackers don't work on Sundays. Thus, when someone realized that some slaves had fled, it would be on Monday and that would give the slaves time to be away from the region, thus increasing the chances of a successful escape that would allow them to be free.
