Answer:

After 3 hours there is left 22.5 grams of radioactive material.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can calculate the mass of radioactive material remaining after 3 hours, by using the decay equation:

N_{t} = N_{0}*e^{-\lambda t}     (1)

Where:

N_{0}: is the initial mass = 180 g

N_{t}: is the remaining mass after time t

λ: is the decay constant

The decay constant is given by:

\lambda = \frac{ln(2)}{t_{1/2}}

Where t_{1/2} = 1 h.

By entering λ into equation (1) we hve:

N_{t} = N_{0}*e^{-\frac{ln(2)}{t_{1/2}} t}

N_{t} = 180 g*e^{-\frac{ln(2)}{1 h} 3 h} = 22.5 g

Therefore, after 3 hours there is left 22.5 grams of radioactive material.

I hope it helps you!

9. All quadrilaterals are parallelogram. A True B. False C. Maybe D. Sometimes cial kind of na lelogram because
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

This statement is false because quadrilaterals just mean a polygon with 4 sides, but a parallelogram is a shape with two sides of opposite length. For example, a scalene quadrilateral has 4 sides, but none are the same length.

A right rectangular prism has a volume of 40 cm3. Find the new volume of the prism if only the length of the prism is doubled.
iVinArrow [24]
Well we know that:
Volume = l×w×h
so that means:
40 = l×w×h
Well if the length is doubled that means
New Volume = 2l×w×h or
New Volume = 2×l×w×h
Well since we know from our original equation that 40 = l×w×h, we can substitute it into this new volume equation
New Volume = 2×l×w×h
New Volume = 2×(40)
New volume = 80 cm³
