Well, there is actually a formula for this kind of exercises:

n is the price the land had in the third year year

2500=n-nx0.6

2500=n(1-0.6)

2500=nx0.4

n=2500:0.4

n=6250

m is the price the land had in the second year

6250=m-mx0.6

6250=m(1-0.6)

6250=nx0.4

p=6250:0.4

p=15625

p is the price the land had in the first year

15625=p-px0.6

15625=p(1-0.6)

15625=px0.4

p=15625:0.4

p=39,062.5 <- this should be your answer. Hope this helps.

Can someone help me with this problem please? Thank you!
Olenka [21]

Answer:

50

Step-by-step explanation:

since the Pythagorean theorem is

c= √a^2+b^2

b is the bottom line (48)

a is the right line (14)

c is the top line (c)

plug that in

c = √14^2 + 48^2

then do the exponets

14^2 = 14 * 14 = 196

48^2 = 48 * 48 = 2304

then add them together

196 + 2304 = 2500

c = √2500

the sqrt of 2500 is 50 (50 * 50 = 2500)

c = 50

your answer is 50

hope this helps:)

Given f(x)=4x+5 and g(x)= x^2+x; find (f∘g)(-5)<br> Please show all steps thank you
Greeley [361]

Answer:

(f\circ g)(-5)=85

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given:

\displaystyle f(x)=4x+5\text{ and } g(x)=x^2+x

And we want to find:

(f\circ g)(-5)

This is equivalent to:

\displaystyle =f(g(-5))

So, we will evaluate g(-5) first, which yields:

\displaystyle g(-5)=(-5)^2+(-5)=25-5=20

So:

=f(g(-5))=f(20)

Then:

\displaystyle f(20)=4(20)+5=80+5=85

Therefore:

(f\circ g)(-5)=85

Given the graph below, which of the following statements is true?
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

D) The graph does not represent a one-to-one function because the y-values between 0 to 2 are paired with multiple x-values.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's find the ordered pairs.

(-4, 4), (-3, 2), (-2, 0), (-1, 0.5), (0, 1), (1, 1.5), (2, 2), (3, 0)

The graph passed through above points.

In the x-coordinates -3, 2 gives the same output. Therefore, the given function is not one-to-one.

Therefore, the answer D)

The graph does not represent a one-to-one function because the y-values between 0 to 2 are paired with multiple x-values.

Hope you will understand the concept.

Thank you.
