Answer:

Its neighbor, the Dominican Republic, which is on the same Caribbean island, is doing much better. ... Haiti extends over the western third of the island of Hispaniola, of which the Dominican Republic occupies the Eastern part. For its part, the Dominican Republic is ranked 90th by the UNDP

Explanation:

Why such a difference in the economic and ecological evolutions of these two countries which share the island? The difference between the environment of the two countries constitutes a first element of response. The eastern part is more watered than the western part, which has allowed the Dominican Republic to have good vegetation cover. The highest peaks beyond 10,000 feet are found in the Dominican part, as well as the rivers originating from these mountains. The Dominican relief is characterized by vast plains and valleys, high plateaus and fertile soil, especially in the Cibao Valley considered one of the most important agricultural regions in the world. Answer:

injunction

Explanation:

A court-ordered injunction was imposed on Fairlawn City employees who worked on the city's streets and bridges. Although these employees were unionized and voted to strike for higher wages and benefits, the city insisted they had a no-strike clause in their agreement and therefore asked the courts to order them back to work, to keep the streets free of ice and snow during the winter months. A court injunction is a special order from a court that compel a party to refrain from or to do a certain act. The court injunction compelled Fairlawn city employees back to work.

X^2+8x-55=10 what is the answer
Nataly [62]
Well...... I'm confused too but I'll go with:

Simplifying
X2 + 8x + -55 = 10

Reorder the terms:
-55 + X2 + 8x = 10

Solving
-55 + X2 + 8x = 10

Solving for variable 'X'.

Move all terms containing X to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '55' to each side of the equation.
-55 + X2 + 55 + 8x = 10 + 55

Reorder the terms:
-55 + 55 + X2 + 8x = 10 + 55

Combine like terms: -55 + 55 = 0
0 + X2 + 8x = 10 + 55
X2 + 8x = 10 + 55

Combine like terms: 10 + 55 = 65
X2 + 8x = 65

Add '-8x' to each side of the equation.
X2 + 8x + -8x = 65 + -8x

Combine like terms: 8x + -8x = 0
X2 + 0 = 65 + -8x
X2 = 65 + -8x

Simplifying
X2 = 65 + -8x

Reorder the terms:
-65 + X2 + 8x = 65 + -8x + -65 + 8x

Reorder the terms:
-65 + X2 + 8x = 65 + -65 + -8x + 8x

Combine like terms: 65 + -65 = 0
-65 + X2 + 8x = 0 + -8x + 8x
-65 + X2 + 8x = -8x + 8x

Combine like terms: -8x + 8x = 0
-65 + X2 + 8x = 0

-Hope this helps!!

Analyze and explain three ways in which human civilization changed between the Paleolithic and Neolithic Eras.
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

Human civilization changed between the Paleolithic and the Neolithic because we went from just hunting and gathering to practicing horticulture and farming. Our tool technologies also became more advanced.

Explanation:

The Paleolithic Era is also referred to as the Old Stone Age the stage in human prehistory when we first developed stone tools and the longest stage of our prehistory from around 3 million years ago until 12,000 years ago. The Neolithic is the era when humans began to practice horticulture and started domesticating some animals and plants. This covers the period from about 12,000 to around 2,000 years ago. Basically, the Paleolithic is when humans first started to use stone tools, while the Neolithic era is when humans started farming. Tools were more advanced in the Neolithic and our ancestors also lived in more permanent homes.
