G = -21

it’s basic algebra, you get rid of the 9 by adding it to both sides. leaving you with
-g + 6 + .5g = 16.5

then you get rid of the 6, by subtracting it from both sides. leaving you with

-g + .5g = 10.5

combine like terms, which leaves you with

-.5g = 10.5

then you need to get g alone, so you divide by -.5 on both sides leaving you with

g = -21 :)

A suitcase measures 24 inches long and the diagonal is 30 inches long. How much material is needed to cover one side of the suit
azamat

Answer:

I believe you're supposed to solve for the other missing side. If you know a side (a) and the diagonal or also known as the hypotenuse (c), you will be able to solve for the other side using the Pythagorean theorem.

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2+b^2=c^2 Substitute the values for a and c

24^2+b^2=30^2 Solve for the powers

576+b^2=900 Subtract 576 from both sides

b^2=324 Solve for the root of 324

18=b

You would need 18 inches of material to cover one side of the suitcase.

I just need help to solve these steps.
My name is Ann [436]
I dont think the answer is 129 unless you typed the problem in wrong. Order of operations say to do everything inside the perenthesis first so you would do the 3*2 which is 6 then divide the 12 by 6 and you get 2. so your new equation is 8^2+9(2)-7. Next distribute the 9 to the 2 that is inside the perenthesis. Square root the 8 also. Now it is 49+18-7. The answer would be 60 ...?
