Answer:

C. Joule

Explanation:

Energy can be defined as the ability of an individual to do work per unit time.

There are different types of energy and these includes mechanical energy, chemical energy, solar energy, electrical energy, nuclear energy, wind energy etc.

Also, there are two (2) forms of energy and these are;

I. Potential energy: it can be defined as an energy possessed by an object or body due to its position.

Mathematically, potential energy is given by the formula;

P.E = mgh

Where;

 • P.E represents potential energy measured in Joules.
 • m represents the mass of an object.
 • g represents acceleration due to gravity measured in meters per seconds square.
 • h represents the height measured in meters.

II. Kinetic energy: it can be defined as an energy possessed by an object or body due to its motion.

Mathematically, kinetic energy is given by the formula;

K.E = \frac{1}{2}MV^{2}

Where;

 • K.E represents kinetic energy measured in Joules.
 • M represents mass measured in kilograms.
 • V represents velocity measured in metres per seconds square.

A derived unit can be defined as a unit derived through the multiplication of three (3) SI base unit; mass (kg) , length (m) and time (s).

Hence, the derived Sl unit for quantities of energy is Joules (m²kgs¯²).

Compare and contrast the role of secretory vesicles, the lysosome, and the peroxisome.
Daniel [21]

Lysosomes ( common in animal cell but rare in plant cells) contain hydrolytic enzymes necessary for intracellular digestion in white blood cells that eat bacteria) lysosomes contents are carefully released Into the cytoplasm can also cause cell death.

Peroxisomes: this organelle is responsible for protecting the cell form its own production of toxic hydrogen peroxide. As an example, white blood cells produce hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria .The oxidative enzymes in peroxisomes break down the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.

Secretory vesicles: cell secretions –e.g, hormones, neurotransmitters, are packaged in secretory vesicles at the Golgi apparatus. The secretory vesicles are then transported to the cell surface for releases.
