Lysosomes ( common in animal cell but rare in plant cells) contain hydrolytic enzymes necessary for intracellular digestion in white blood cells that eat bacteria) lysosomes contents are carefully released Into the cytoplasm can also cause cell death.

Peroxisomes: this organelle is responsible for protecting the cell form its own production of toxic hydrogen peroxide. As an example, white blood cells produce hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria .The oxidative enzymes in peroxisomes break down the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.

Secretory vesicles: cell secretions –e.g, hormones, neurotransmitters, are packaged in secretory vesicles at the Golgi apparatus. The secretory vesicles are then transported to the cell surface for releases.

Answer:

Lysosomes are spherical pouches that have digestive enzymes. It allows the digestion of bacteria, viruses or some toxins, they also allow the breakdown of glycogen and the release of thyroid hormone, they also break down the bone allowing the release of calcium.

While secretory lysosomes are located in white blood cells, in immune cells such as melanocytes.

On the other hand, peroxisomes are membranous sacs that are made up of oxidases and catalases. They are responsible for neutralizing free radicals and free radicals from highly reactive chemicals.

There is an ecosystem that gets abundant sun, moderate temperatures and regular rain. What might you expect in this ecosystem? A
pickupchik [31]

Answer:

Option (D)

Explanation:

The existence of a good and favorable ecosystem depends upon certain factors such as temperature, rainfall, and sunlight. In a place where there is abundant rainfall, sunlight and moderate temperature, there occurs an ecosystem that is rich in a variety of species as it provides the necessary elements that support the existence of a favorable ecosystem. Due to the moderate temperature and good amount of precipitation, the soil in this ecosystem gets the required nutrients that help in the growth of different species of plants and trees. This given condition reflects a tropical type of ecosystem where there are numerous trees and also a huge variety of species exists. The tropical ecosystem lies in the equatorial and near-equatorial region on earth.

Hence, the correct answer is option (D).

A student wants to know the effect a mutation might have on a species survival. The change causes a rabbit to have mottled brown
strojnjashka [21]

Answer: A. Evolution occurred because the allele frequency changed over time.

C. The rabbits with mottled brown fur have a selective advantage that gives them more camouflage from predators.

E. The mutation had a positive effect, allowing those rabbits with the mottled brown fur to survive and reproduce better than those with the brown or white fur

Explanation:

Based on the information given, the possible conclusion that can be drawn from the options given are:

A. Evolution occurred because the allele frequency changed over time.

C. The rabbits with mottled brown fur have a selective advantage that gives them more camouflage from predators.

E. The mutation had a positive effect, allowing those rabbits with the mottled brown fur to survive and reproduce better than those with the brown or white fur.

Therefore, the correct options are A, C and E.
