We then use the information given in the question to form equation. This will be:

3a + 7s = 81 .......... equation i

4a + 7s = 94 .......... equation ii

Subtract equation i from ii

a = 13

From equation i

3a + 7s = 81

We put the value of a = 13

3(13) + 7s = 81

39 + 7s = 81

7s = 81 - 39

7s = 42

s = 42/7

s = 6
