Watch their body language. it can show if they’re comfortable talking about that certain topic. you should be open about your experiences too that can relate to what theyre going thru. but dont “take the spotlight”. keep focus on them and their grief.

Answer:

First you have to understand what that person is grieving about.

Explanation:

It's important to understand what that person is going through because without that knowledge there is no basis for empathy. The most important thing is consoling them, but still realizes the signs when they want to be alone and just mourn. From personal experience with grief I can say that it is a person to person thing so don't tress out too much about certain details, but still try to help the person, It can be through talks about things that will get there mind off of hat they are grieving over, making them laugh, even sending out care packages to that person of you and theirs best memories together or writing to them. Don't overthink being there for someone. Always stand by who ever is going through a rough time in their life because you never know when you'll need a shoulder to cry on. I hope that I helped you out!

Which sentence in this excerpt from mark twain‘s “the 1,000,000 bank note” is an example of satire
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer:

An example of satire here is: "Those two old brothers had been having a pretty hot argument a couple of days before, and had ended by agreeing to decide it by a bet, which is the English way of settling everything"

Explanation:

When we talk about a satire, we need to know that is a technique that authors used to express humor, exaggeration, irony or to expose or ridicule people's behavior or vices. Here we have some irony in the sentence especially in this part: "<em>which is the English way of settling everything</em>" Here he is making fun of the way that English people resolve their problems. He is trying to say that problems are serious and to resolve them you need more than just a bet.

Write a paragraph (5-7 complete sentences) that compares how the structures of “Gumption” and “To Build a Fire” create meaning.
Black_prince [1.1K]
I actually just did this as a project for my English class. Basically, they both create meaning by telling you of the struggles they went through. In "gumption" Oyster and his boy are dealing with racial injustice. In "to build a fire" he is challenged with surviving in the wilderness in the middle of winter. (hope I helped)
