At this convention, the Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions was presented. It stated that,"All men and women are created equal" as to the Declaration of Independence which says, "All men are created equal." Stanton began the Women's Rights Movement. After the convention, groups sprang up to support the rights of women. Stanton's actions led to the Women's Rights Movement.
