Write a short story that starts with this line: “I should have known it was a bad idea, but that didn’t stop me.”
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

I should have known it was a bad idea, but that didn't stop me. I attempted to scrub the blood of of my hands and to delete the memory out of my mind. I didn't mean to stab that man. He came running behind me and violently put his hands over my mouth. I panicked. I reached in my pocket and pulled out my pocket knife that I carry in case of an emergency. I stuck it in his side and he let me go. A scream of pain escaped his lips as he knelt to the concrete ground. I ran as far away as I could, without looking back. I made it to my apartment about 2 miles away. I slammed the door shut, locked it, and shut the curtains to the window looking outside. It will only be a metter of time before the police come kocking on my door. Will I be able to say it was for self defefnse reasons and get off easy? Or will I be arrested for trying to protect myself from possible danger. Either way, I know the memory of tis night will be forever engraved in my brain. I have to just learn to live with the guilt. I won't let the memories and the flashbacks lead me the same fate I gave that man.     Explanation:

How do race, class, and gender affect one’s position in Maycomb society ?
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Explanation:

Race - If one is white then they are seem as a real human. Although, if one is not white then they are a subhuman. This is represented in Tom Robinson's trial. He is a colored man, and due to this, he is considered guilty of r**e, when he is innocent. This was not justified, but the jury made it's decision because he was colored.

Class - An example of class in the Maycomb country is the Finches. They come from an old family and owned the same plot of land for many generations. They are also extracted a sizable income from the plot of land. We can view the Finches as "respectable". If you are deemed respectable in the Maycomb society, then you are important.

Gender - Men are superior and women are inferior. Scout, the main character, learns this when she grows up and is forced to conform to society. It is said that women are fragile and depended upon men. Scout is considered a Tom-boy and she rebels against her society's restricting gender roles.

'This life is more important than the next' - Discuss statement
Zolol [24]
What ever you do in this life is the result of your next life, so if you are bad now then your next life isnt going to be good. However if you have been good in this life your next life will be better. God looks at the persons soul, not the colour if them , or the gender or race, but by the way they have acted which is all shown in the soul.
