while on the expedition, Sacagawea was able to prove his significance to the said venture. There came a point that the expedition faced the harsh waters, and almost everyone pannicked, everyone except Sacagawea.During the whole ordeal, she was able to stay composed and was even able to save the different crucial documents and journals of Clark and Lewis. Because of this, as recognition to the bravery she exhibited then, the river was name Sacagawea. It also somehow became apparent that their travel somehow led her back to her original settlement, with her remembering the trail bits by bits. She was considered the “pilot” to some degree. Along the way, she was able to recognize edible and medicinal plans which the corps found useful.
