What was the King's Privy Council? What was it's play in the House of Burgesses?
Margaret [11]

The Privy Council was a select group of advisers that gave direction to the king on where to locate and how to maintain and operate the royal system of privies, which today we would refer to as outhouses, or portapotties. It enabled and facilitate greater debate in the House of Burgesses, in that members were better able to pop out for quick use of the restroom, as opposed to having to formally call to recess to use a chamber pot back at their lodgings. I hope this helps!

Explanation:

The protestan clery group would oppose to the government intervention, because letting the government control would signify the danger of them controling the tenements. This would leave it all to the state and they were afraid it wouldn't actually be of any help.

Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

Their deep divisions could lead to violence

Explanation:

The events of 1968 show deep divisions regarding Americans' views on politics. Many Americans wanted to maintain peace during the 1960s and opposed wars. As the Vietnam issue came up, America decided to interfere based on the Dinamo effect and to protect other Asian countries from converting into communism. There was a division based on ideas in America as some opposed against it while others supported it (the government). Often violence and marches were held by students on campuses and in Washington to show their protest against the government decision.
