Answer:

x = 0.625 or 5/8

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2(16x-6) = 2

8x - 3 = 3

8x = 3 + 3

8x/8 = 9/8

x = 0.625

What is the mean median and mode of 99, 69, 96, 69, 78. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary
KiRa [710]
A median is the middle number of a data set.
To find it put the numbers in order.
78, 69, 69, 96, 99
Then find the middle number
78, 69, *69,* 96, 99

The median is 69

A mode is the number that appears the most in a set of numbers.
78, *69, 69,* 96, 99

The mode is 69

To find the mean or average of a set of numbers, add all the numbers together then divide by the number of numbers there are.
99+69+96+69+78 = 411
411/5 = 82.2

The mean is 82.2

Any face that is not a base
Ann [662]

Answer:

In Mathematics Geometry,<em> lateral face</em> is said be the side of a 3D-figure in that is not a base.

Please check the attached figure to visual the concept.

Step-by-step explanation:

In Mathematics Geometry,<em> lateral face</em> is said be the side of a 3D-figure in that is not a base.

The faces in in a prism or pyramid which are not bases are basically the lateral faces.

For example, the lateral faces are basically parallelograms in Triangular prism which are not the bases.

Please check the attached figure to visual the concept.

A rabbit population doubles every 4 weeks. There are currently five rabbits in a restricted area. If t represents the time, in w
My name is Ann [436]
First, you have to find how many weeks are in 98 and to do so, you would divide it by 7. which turns out to be 14. If you divide 14 by 4 you'll find that their population will double 3 times, but not 3.5 because it is every 4 full weeks.
The equation will look like this, however, I'm not completely certain about the format. I'm using the formula for exponential growth
P(t)=r(2)^t
I did use t as weeks, but for every 4 weeks. R is the number of rabbits. If we were to input our information, we'd get:
P(3)=5(2)^3
If you work it out, you get 40 rabbits. In 14 weeks, the rabbits will double 3 times, so if we were to just figure it out without using the formula, we could double 5 which is 10, double it again, which is 20, and then double it a third time. which is 40.

find the diameters of a circle with a circumference of 443 feet use 3.14 for n a. 70.5 b. 141 c.142 d.282
zvonat [6]
The formula for diameter is:

circumference/pi (3.14)

If the circumference is 443, we can divide that by pi.

443/3.14=141.01

The answer would then be choice b (141).

Please help me !! Demonstrate the identity
Evgesh-ka [11]
Prove: \frac{1 - cos(2x) + sin(2x)}{1 + cos(2x) + sin(2x)} = tan(x)

LHS = \frac{1 - cos(2x) + sin(2x)}{1 + cos(2x) + sin(2x)}

cos(2x) = 1 - 2sin^{2}(x) = 2cos^{2}(x) - 1
sin(2x) = 2sinxcosx

LHS = \frac{1 - 1 + 2sin^{2}(x) + 2sinxcosx}{1 + 2cos^{2}(x) - 1 + 2sinxcosx}
= \frac{2sinx(sinx + cosx)}{2cosx(cosx + sinx)}
= \frac{2sinx}{2cosx}
= tanx = RHS

\therefore \frac{1 - cos(2x) + sin(2x)}{1 + cos(2x) + sin(2x)} = tan(x)
