How did South Carolina farmers' support of the Populist Party differ from the support of the party by farmers throughout the Uni

ted States?
South Carolina Populists proposed an increase in the country's money supply; Populists in other parts of the country opposed the manipulation of the nation's money supply.

Farmers in South Carolina opposed African American membership in the Populist
Party; farmers in the rest of the country supported African American membership in the Populist Party.

Across the country, farmers supported the Populist Party's stance on the regulation of railroads; in South Carolina, farmers felt railroads should be free of government regulation.

Throughout the United States, the Populist Party called for an increase in tariffs
on foreign goods; in South Carolina, Populists worked against any tariff

I really don’t understand history
crimeas [40]

Maybe it means that there’s a difference between how much land they own or something. It says there was a difference between the amount of land they occupied and the amount of land they couldn’t control. So maybe they didn’t own/have a lot of land but there was a lot of land they couldn’t get to/take over etc. or maybe this situation could be vice versa so they have a ton of land but only a little isn’t “controlled” let me know if this helps sorry if it’s confusing I’m just guessing based on the context clues :)
