During this part of photosynthesis, the energy from the sunlight is absorbed by a pigment called chlorophyl (Chl). Then, it is sequentially coverted into chemical energy stored in the form of molecules: NADPH (nitotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate) and ATP (adenosine triphosphate).
