C. Macduff has the royalty of nature
My name is Angus McBangus. I have made a very silly mistake. I have taken the royal adorning jewel (the most treasured and admired jewel in all of the kingdom) found in the King's crown and run away with it. Now, all of the royal guards in all of the kingdom are after me. So far, they have chased me through 3 countries. I am afraid that I will have to keep running for the rest of my life! But, even then, what are the chances of me lasting as a fugitive for that long? I might as well surrender. Yes, that's what I'll do! I will surrender to the guard and give them the royal crown jewel! Maybe then they will go easy on me and not give me a long time in prison. I sure hope so! What do you think?
Answer:
The correct answer is “I guess so.”

Explanation:
Many authors use this technique called character development to highlight the flaws or qualities of a certain character. Throughout the book or novel, this form of literature explains the evolution of any character. This also helps an author to give human-like traits to fictional characters.
I guess so is a perfect example of this, since it shows the unsure behavior of a character.
From William Shakespeare to Sophocles, every author uses character development in their stories, plays etc.
Character development describes the appearance, history, mannerisms, attitude, thought-process of a character.
