Answer:

E.

Step-by-step explanation:

The main information we need to focus on is:

 1. how much the tickets cost
 2. how many people
 3. how many tickets do we need to buy

What we know so far is that Gina wants to know how much will it cost for her and her friends to go to the water park.

So to answer those questions above is that we need to buy 5 tickets, each ticket cost 15 dollars EACH! And that "w" represent the total amount of the tickets being purchased!

Would it make sense to do 5 tickets times the cost of tickets? Yes? No? How about we check?

5 tickets times 15 dollars = 75 dollars in total.

What does that look like in an equation though? We now that 5 is number of people, 15 is the price of each ticket, and again w is the total cost.

5 × 15 = w So the answer is E.

If you wonder why the other answers don't work let check them:

A? w5=15, doesn't make sense because w is the total cost and then you have 5 tickets which equal to 15. Which is wrong.

B? w= 15+5, we aren't adding the the tickets and amount of people to get the total cost!

C? 5= 5 × w, doesn't make sense because you are multiple the total cost with the amount of people wanting tickets

And finally D? The same thing with choice A. Except now "w" or the total cost would be multiplied with how much a single ticket would cost.

I hope I helped in any way, if you don't understand or still confused, don't be afraid to comment or even ask a question. I hope you have a great day! :D

Mariulka [41]

A= B+C

As given, A+B+C = 50000 seats

A+(B+C) = 50000

2A = 50000

A= 25000 seats

Now section A sells seats at $30 each

So, 25000\times30=750000

Now, B+C = 25000

B = 25000-C

B sells at $24 and C sells at $18

So, 24B+18C = 538800

Now as section A incurs an amount of $750000 from booking, so B and C will incur 1288800-750000 = 538800 where $1288800 is the total booking amount.

24B+18C = 538800

24(25000-C)+18C=538800

600000-24C+18C=538800

6C = 61200

C = 10200

Now, B = 25000-C

B = 25000 - 10200 = 14800

Hence, section A has 25000 seats

Section B has 14800 seats

Section C has 10200 seats

Answer:

The length is 250 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

If we look at the left corner of the diagram we see a scale. According to the scale factor of the map

1 cm :1000 cm

The length of the lap on the map is 25 cm

So (25 × 1000) = 25000 cm

Since

1 meter = 100 centimeter

So the actual length of the lap = 25000 ÷ 100 = 250 meters
