Outline the synthesis, storage, and release of peptide hormones. Which organelle(s) is (are) involved
Orlov [11]

Answer:

Messenger RNA on the ribosomes binds amino acids into a peptide chain called a preprohormone. the chain is directed into the ER lumen by a signal sequence of amino acids

-enzymes in the ER chop off the signal sequence, creating an inactive prohormone

-the prohormone passes from the ER through Golgi

-secretory vesicles containing enzymes and prohormone bud off the golgi. the enzymes chop the prohormone into one or more active peptides

-vesicle releases contents by exocytosis

-hormone moves into circulation for transport to its target

The answer is RNA

dolphi86 [110]

Some substances that were not initially filtered in the glomerulus, but must be eliminated from the blood, become a component of urine through the process of urine formation.

Urine: A liquid excrement consisting of water, salts, and urea, which is made in the kidneys then released through the urethra.

The process of urine formation involves 3 major steps:

 1. Filtration:- Blood enters the afferent arteriole during filtration, flowing into the glomerulus where filterable blood components—such as water and nitrogenous waste—move toward the interior of the glomerulus and nonfilterable blood components—such as cells and serum albumins—exit via the efferent arteriole.
 2. Reabsorption: During this, ions and molecules will be returned to the bloodstream. As the fluid's osmolarity (ion concentration) fluctuates, water and ions are eliminated as it moves through the proximal/distal convoluted tubules, the loop of Henle, and the collecting duct.
 3. The process of secretion involves the removal of various substances from the blood into the collecting duct, including hydrogen ions, creatinine, and medications. Urine, the final result of all these procedures, is essentially a collection of chemicals that have not undergone tubular or glomerular reabsorption.

Reflex activity can be modified by the cerebral cortex. For example, you are baking a roast in the oven. As you are moving the r
Zanzabum

Answer:

There are different types of reflexes, and some of them can be controlled voluntarily due to cortical processing.

Explanation:

Even if there is an initial myotactic reflex of moving away from the heat, the cortical processing that is subject to learning makes you not let go of the pan. It should be noted that there are different types of reflexes, and not all postural reactions are automatic. The cerebral cortex influences voluntary postural adjustment movements. Such control is mainly performed by the brain stem, where ocurrs the modulation of motor neurons and spinal cord interneurons through the lateral descending (fine movements) and medial (posture and balance) downward pathways.

Which of the following information could be included in the description of a grasshopper’s niche, but not in a description of it
Ivan

The niche of grasshopper would include the plant species it eats.

Explanation:

The niche of an organism is different to that of a habitat. A niche includes the interaction between organisms and the food that they eat, whereas, a habitat is a place where organisms are provided with food, protection and shelter.

Habitat is a place of ecosystem that involves other environmental factors like- rain, sunlight, humidity etc. So, food type eaten by grasshopper would be the description of a niche and not a habitat.
