The higher education attained, the higher the salary will be. This is so because the ones who study more have many more chances to have better positions and better incomes. Many of them who know many languages or who know how to handle the operation or the ones who know a lot of useful and practical things are more used and better rewarded. Until this day is the most common thing in almost any occupation.

Anika [276]

Answer:

Present Value of the Investment is $17246.

Explanation:

The Discounting formula would be used to discount the future value $20,000 at the required rate of 2.5% for 6 number of years. So the formula is as under:

Present Value = Future Value / (1+r)^n

By putting values, we have:

Present Value = $20,000 / (1+2.5%)^6 = $20000 / 1.120 = $17246

Dawson must invest now $17246 to receive $20000 after 6 number of years.

Aleks [24]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

There is no restriction that prohibits the payment of dividends from a subsidiary to a parent company. The parent company has to report the subsidiary's profit as taxable income, so the subsidiary must pay its dividends to the parent company. To avoid multiple layers of taxation, parent companies can use the dividends-received deduction to reduce their taxes on the dividends received. Then the parent company must itself distribute dividends to its shareholders.
