Answer:

A is the correct answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

In experiment we require a controlled variable which is the constant in example A that is the plant we intend to put into the soil. In example B there's no such thing as controlled variable, so we can't expect the position of the water level. the water level is so unpredictable since tides or tsunami might change the result.

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Scientific experiments need to have an independent and a dependent variable. Scientists can manipulate the independent variable. A should be the correct answer because it mentions what I just said. All scientific experiments need to have a control and experimental group. Therefore, student A and the answer A are correct.

I wish you the best of luck :D

The equation 2(4x + 1) = 4(2x + 5) has no solutions. Which of the following best explains why?
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

2(4x + 1) = 4(2x + 5)

8x + 2 =8x + 20

\nexists x \in \mathbb{R} \text{ That makes the equality true}

The equation has no solution because no matter what the value we plug for x in the equation, it will not be true and will lead to a contradiction. This is the meaning of not having a solution.

Solve the equation
Umnica [9.8K]
3/4x + 3 - 2x = -1/4 + 1/2x + 5

Put in terms of 4 as denominator
3/4x + 12/4 - 8/4x = -1/4 + 2/4x + 20/4

Combine like terms
-5/4x + 12/4 = 2/4x + 19/4

Simplify
12/4 = 7/4x + 19/4
-7/4 = 7/4x
x = -1 :)

Check:
3/4(-1) + 3 - 2(-1) = -1/4 + 1/2(-1) + 5
-3/4 + 3 + 2 = -1/4 - 1/2 + 5
-3/4 + 5 = -3/4 + 5
-3/4 = -3/4 :)
