I’m not sure if it’s a.) f(x)=(x-5)2+2 because it’s vertex is (5,2) although it doesn’t pass through (6,3). It passes through (6,4)
I think the answer is c.) none of these

Here’s the graph for it

Emma enjoys flying kites. her red kite has a maximum altitude of 117.46 meters, and her black kite has a maximum altitude of 362
7nadin3 [17]
You have to convert 117.46 meters to feet. so you know that 0.3048 meters is 1 foot.

117.46 / 0.3048= 385.37feet red kite
now you can simply subtract
385.37-362.26=23.11ft
the answer is, the red kite has an altitude 23.11 feet higher then the black kite.

Prove that the Greatest Integer Function f: R -> R given by f(x) = [x], is neither one-once nor onto, where [x] denotes the g
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
F: R → R is given by, f(x) = [x]
It is seen that f(1.2) = [1.2] = 1, f(1.9) = [1.9] = 1
So, f(1.2) = f(1.9), but 1.2 ≠ 1.9
f is not one-one

Now, consider 0.7 ε R
It is known that f(x) = [x] is always an integer. Thus, there does not exist any element x ε R such that f(x) = 0.7

So, f is not onto
Hence, the greatest integer function is neither one-one nor onto.

The answer was quite complicated but I hope it will help you.

Juliet is selling photographs as part of a project for her entrepreneurship class. She sells the first 20 photographs for $10 ea
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

option (B) 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Number of photographs initially sold = 20

selling price of first 20 photographs = $10 each

Therefore,

Revenue from 20 photographs = 20 × $10 = $200

Selling price of further photographs = $15

Let the number of additional photographs sold be 'x'

thus,

total revenue = $200 + $15x

now,

according to the question

80% of ($200 + $15x) = $400

or

0.80 ×  ($200 + $15x) = $400

or

($200 + $15x) = $500

or

$15x = $300

or

x = 20

Hence,

the answer is option (B) 20

The Cosmic Pool company is building a pool in Mary’s back yard. The pool is to be 8ft longer than it is wide and cover 240 squar
Aneli [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is C.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the Cosmic Pool company's pool's length is 8ft longer than the width, you can immediately rule out choices A and B, since their <em>widths</em> are greater than their <em>lengths</em> by 8, and not vice versa. This leaves choices C and D. The perimeter of a quadrilateral's formula is 2(l+w), which means the length plus the width and multiplied by 2. Using this formula, you can infer that the perimeter is 2(20+12) = 2*32 = 64ft, so choice C is the correct answer.
