<h3>Solution :</h3>

\tt (7 - 2y) (7 +2y)

<u>By using identinty</u> :

\large \underline{\boxed{\bf{(a-b)(a+b) = a^2 - b^2}}}

\tt : \implies (7 - 2y) (7 +2y) = (7)^{2} - (2y)^{2}

\tt : \implies (7 - 2y) (7 +2y) = 49 - 4y^{2}

\large \underline{\boxed{\bf{(7 - 2y) (7 +2y) = 49 - 4y^{2}}}}

Hence, value of (7 - 2y) (7 +2y) is 49 - 4y².

A person's height is 5-ft 3-in. Their shadow has a length of 3-ft 6-in. If a nearby tree has a shadow of length 10-ft 4-in, what
Alchen [17]

Answer: The height of tree = 15 ft. 6 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: A person's height is 5-ft 3-in = [5 x (12 )+3 ]  inches    [ 1 ft= 12 inches]

= 63 inches

Their shadow has a length of 3-ft 6-in = [3 x 12+6] inches

= 42 inches

If a nearby tree has a shadow of length 10-ft 4-in = [10 x 12+4] inches

= 124 inches.

At the same time,

\dfrac{\text{Height of tree}}{\text{Height of person}}=\dfrac{\text{Length person's shadow}}{\text{Length of tree's shadow}}\\\\\dfrac{\text{Height of tree}}{63}=\dfrac{124}{42}\\\\\Rightarrow\ \text{Height of tree}=\dfrac{124}{42}\times63=186\ inches\\\\=\dfrac{186}{12}= 15.5 ft\ or\ 15 ft.\ 6\ inches.

Hence, the height of tree = 15 ft. 6 inches

D. 32/47
You would subtract 1580 from 640 to get 940. You would then simplify 640/940 to get 32/47.

When a number is a multiple of 6, what are the possible values for the ones digits?
Liula [17]
I would do this by first listing the multiples of 6 until I start to see a pattern with the one's digit.
6x0=0
6x1=6
6x2=12
6x3=18
6x4=24
6x5=30
6x6=36
6x7=42
6x8=48
...
The digits in bold are the one's digits so those are the only ones we really care about.  If you list just them it looks like: 0,6,2,8,4,0,6,2,8
Notice how the first set of 5 numbers seems as though it repeats in the 6th, 7th, and 8th numbers.  This probably means the pattern continues infinitely so the first 5 numbers are all the one's digits that can come from multiples of 6.  Thus your answer is: 0,6,2,8,or 4
