Answer: The price of 1 football = $ 7 and price of 1 basket ball= $10

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = price of 1 football.

y = price of 1 basketball.

As per given,

3x+2y=44\ \ \ (i)

x+3y=31\ \ \ \ (ii)

Multiply 3 to (ii) , we get

3x+9y=93\ \ \ \ (iii)

Eliminate (i) from (iii)

7y=49\\\\\Rightarrow\ y=7

Put this in (ii), we get

x+3(7)=31\\\\\Rightarrow\ x+21=31\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=31-21=10\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=10

Hence,  the price of 1 football = $ 7 and price of 1 basket ball= $10

Which represents where f(x) = g(x)?
Anna [14]

The equation represents the intersections. The correct option is A:

  • f(2) = g(2) = 0
  • f(0) = g(0) = 4.

<h3>Which represents where f(x) = g(x)?</h3>

If we have two functions:

y = f(x) and y = g(x), the equation:

f(x) = g(x) gives the value of x such that the two functions have the same output. So, that equation gives the intersection points between the two graphs.

By looking at the graph, we can see that we have two intersections, one at:

(2, 0) and other at (0, 4).

This means that:

  • f(2) = g(2) = 0
  • f(0) = g(0) = 4.

So the correct option is the first one.

What is the slope of the line shown below?
marysya [2.9K]
Slope is defined as the change in y over the change in x:
m = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}

In the picture below, they have plotted two points that are on the line. We can use those two points in the slope formula.

\frac{7 - (-3)}{3 - (-2)} = \frac{10}{5} = 2

The slope is 2 or \frac{2}{1}. For every 2 points you move the Y direction, you move 1 once in the X direction.
