<u>The 13th Amendment made slavery illegal in the United States,  which signifigantly helped many African Americans be able to gain the same rights as white people. Granted this didn't fully happen until the 1960's it certainly still helped them get closer to having the same rights as white people.</u>

Explanation:

Restoring Justice would be giving African Americans much more liberty and personal freedom than they had in the past, and the 13th amendment helped them get closer to that goal.
