We had trouble finding our way through the fog. Nights at sea were dark, but nights spent sailing through bad weather were excep

tionally dark. It was when we looked up and saw the St. Elmo's fire burning around our mast that we knew we had to keep going. We were all amazed by this natural phenomenon caused by static electricity clinging to the ship's mast. It appeared to light our way in the blackest of nights, and, by its light, we fought against the storm and made our way into the marina. We all hoped that we'd never face something that scary again, but I know that if I must, I have Mother Nature's light giving me the power to persevere.
In this passage, the St. Elmo's Fire is a symbol of
A.
endurance because it boosts the sailors' strength.
B.
despair because it breaks the sailors' hearts.
C.
ignorance because it shows the sailors' neglect.
D.
kindness because it warms the sailors' bodies.

I can help you with the writing section.

The quote spoken by Jeff Bingaman is basically stating that he supports immigration reform that is for family, reunification, and economic contributions and humanitarian concerns.

Your task is to write an exposition based on his quote. A exposition is defined as a. comprehensive description and explanation of an idea.

Here is info regarding the requirements of the exposition:

- The thesis statement you create should defend your position or opinion about what he has said. So it should be an argument.

- Your supporting arguments should. back up why you feel or think the way you do about his idea on immigration. This would be the why.

- A restatement would basically be a conclusion.
