The phone rings in the next room and the assistant answers it. She tells the caller, "Yes, sir, he is here." After a moment she

adds: "He has been here for about five or ten minutes, sir." She soon hangs up, and comes in with your coffee. She tells you that it should not be too much longer and again apologizes. She explains that the CEO stopped at a gas station to call in. She then tells you that the CEO is a bit "old fashioned." "He doesn't really use a cell phone," she says. She turns to leave, but you ask her to have a seat. You have an opportunity here. What should you ask the CEO's personal assistant?

6000 Units were produced and  determine the total amount of direct manufacturing cost incurred.

Step 1: Calculate the Direct Manufacturing Cost

Direct manufacturing cost is the cost of those input raw materials that are directly related to the product as well as the units being produced.

Direct Manufacturing Cost = (The Direct Material/ Unit + The Direct Labour/ unit) x Units Produced

= ($5,20 + $3.75) x 6000 units

= $8.95 x 6000 units

= $53, 700

Therefore, the direct manufacturing cost is $53, 700

Assume interest rate parity exists. If the spot rate on the British pound is $2 and the 1-year British interest rate is 7 percen
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

The pound's forward discount or premium is 3.74%

Explanation:

The current spot rate is 1 Pound = $2

The interest rate parity exists, then:

The forward rate:

1 Pound*1.07 = $2*1.11

1.07 Pound = $2.22

1 pound = $2.0748

The Premium in Pound = $2.0748 - $2

                                      = $0.0748

Premium rate = $0.0748/$2*100

                       = 3.74%

Therefore, The pound's forward discount or premium is 3.74%
