There can be lots of reasons for high blood pressure like stress, age, genetics and eating disorders. Eating disorders like eating food with high salt and fat content increase the amount of fat in the body. This fat can also accumulate in the walls of arteries which narrow the arteries.

So blood pressure becomes high when blood passes from the narrow arteries causing high blood pressure or hypertension.
