US had to step in more firmly to reduce the spread of these ideas taking over countries that weren’t able to stand up for themselves In order to prevent communism to the other parts of the world they began to invade countries where theses ideas began spreading. One of the counties US supported the invasion was Cuba where they created a blockade to get the Soviets to remove nuclear missiles. The US created a containment policy, which was a strategy to prevent communism from spreading to any further countries..
