1 Although it may not be good for the environment it is cheaper to import food from other countries 2 even though we can grow some fruits in the uk we cannot drove them all times of the year so we import them from other countries so we can have them all year round.

Local diversity can mean for example different food - different areas have their own food specialties).

It can also mean the customs and religions - for example how people eat (fork, chopstics, hands, etc).

Another example is the clothing, for example in India many women wear Saris, while in Europe women wear skirts or trousers.
