There is a tale, “The Ring of Gyges,” that Feldman sometimes tells his economist friends. It comes from Plato’s Republic. A stud

ent named Glaucon offered the story in response to a lesson by Socrates—who, like Adam Smith, argued that people are generally good even without enforcement. Glaucon, like Feldman’s economist friends, disagreed. He told of a shepherd named Gyges who stumbled upon a secret cavern with a corpse inside that wore a ring. When Gyges put on the ring, he found that it made him invisible. With no one able to monitor his behavior, Gyges proceeded to do woeful things—seduce the queen, murder the king, and so on. Glaucon’s story posed a moral question: could any man resist the temptation of evil if he knew his acts could not be witnessed? Glaucon seemed to think the answer was no.
The excerpt serves as which of the following in relation to the authors’ argument?
a claim that most people are moral
an example of morality in the workplace
a conclusion about morality in the workplace
a counterclaim to the idea that most people are moral

What unique fear do martians or other aliens represent as opposed to zombies vampires and types of monsters
sertanlavr [38]

Martians or Aliens, oppose to Zombies and other monsters, cause a unique fear because of the fact that outer space scares us. I mean, why shouldn't it? Space is a cold desolate place bigger than we could possibly imagine, whereas the earth, where we live, is mostly explored. That's not even including all the rumors about Alien cover-ups by the government.

what kind of appeal does the author use to open the president’s speech? 20 points and brainlest!! (state of the union address 20
Naily [24]
Hi!

Not sure what the question is asking exactly due to the lack of material. Although I'm assuming this is a question about logos, pathos, and ethos? Sorry if I'm assuming incorrectly. But the answer would be ethos, the president is describing the guiding beliefs and ideals of America, which is a characteristic of ethos.
