What is the main difference between an isotope and an ion?
bezimeni [28]
I believe the answer is D. An ion always has a positive or a negative charge. An Ion is an atom with net electric charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons. An isotope is each of two or more forms of the same element that contain equal numbers of protons but different numbers of neutrons in their neutron, thus they differ in relative atomic mass but not in chemical properties.

the company calculated that they would produce 4.8 tonnes of magnesium but only 3.2 tonnes was produced calculate the percentage
Aneli [31]
To find the percentage yield you must take the actual yield and divide it by the theoretical yield and times it by 100. (Percent yield=Actual/Theoretical * 100)
For this example the calculated (Theoretical value) was 4.8 tones and the tones produced (Actual value) was 3.2 tones.
So 3.2/4.8 *100 = 66.6666666….

Given a gas inside a 2.93 L container at a temperature of 20 Celsius. The temp increases to
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

New Gas volume (V2) = 5.86 L

Explanation:

Given:

Gas volume (V1) = 2.93 L

Temperature (T1) = 20°Celsius

After Increasing temperature:

New Temperature (T2) = 40°Celsius

Find:

New Gas volume (V2) = ?

Computation:

According to Charles' gas Law:

⇒ Gas volume (V1) / Temperature (T1) = New Gas volume (V2) / New Temperature (T2)

⇒ 2.93 L / 20°Celsius = New Gas volume (V2) / 40°Celsius

⇒ New Gas volume (V2) = 5.86 L
