1.- The "<u>coordination of forces</u> or 'association with a common objective and with the means and means necessary to achieve this objective'".

2.- The popular organization is built from the bottom up, from the "<u>periphery to the center</u>", and outside the centers of power of the current system.

3.- Another important characteristic of social movements is <u>autonomy</u>, which occurs mainly in relation to the state, political parties, bureaucratic unions, the church, among others. Social movements have to make decisions and act on their own, dealing with their own issues.

4.- <u>Direct action</u> is a way in which social movements make politics as a workers' struggle, organized from below, against the exploitation and oppression of which they are victims.

5.- <u>Direct democracy</u> takes place in social movements when all those who participate in them participate effectively in the decision-making process.

6.- <u>Solidarity and mutual aid</u> are also principles that should be promoted in social movements.
