In which of the following environments would you expect lithogenous sediment tobe the dominant sediment type? Choose all that ap
xeze [42]

Answer:

Options (A), (B), and (D)

Explanation:

The lithogenous sediments are usually defined as those sediments that are produced from the weathering and erosion of rocks. These sediments are then transported from one place to another by agents such as wind, water, and ice. These are the most common sediments that are found on earth.

These sediments are of variable sizes, ranging from fine-grained sediments to coarse-grained and they are abundantly found in the sandy beaches, abyssal plains and at the base of the continental slope.

The rocks at the beaches are continuously hit by the sea waves that break down and carry the sediments seaward. These sediments along with the other terrestrial sediments are deposited on the abyssal plains and base of the continental slope.

Thus, the correct answers are options (A), (B), and (D).

According to the plate theory of hot spots, how do volcanic island chains form?
PtichkaEL [24]
The only one that makes sense to me is D. All volcanoes actually form at plate boundaries, not in the middle of plates. But then again they can form in the middle if plates called a Hotspot.

How do the earths physical features affect people activities
Rzqust [24]
I think it's recreational activities, method of transportation, and choice of occupation. So all of the above. Why? So lets start with recreational activities. Earth's physical form depends of if people want to go fishing, hiking, hiking, etc. Method of transportation. We need to have smooth ground to bike or drive on. A highway isn't going to be in the middle of the mountain. We need to have a good solid surface. Choice of occupation. Earth has a physical feature of like I said, mountains, plains, oceans, etc. We want to live in a place that has good resources, and good weather. All of these things depend on physical features of Earth.
