Answer:

Martin Luther King Jr used words that changed how people view African American people (or black people in general). his speech changed the way Europeans saw the blacks; not as inferiors, but equals, and as in the words of God "all men are created equal" he used strong and vivid words in his speech to really change the people's view. After his assassination, everyone had remembered his speech and used that to change the society that we live in today

A court that has a choice as to whether or not to hear the appeal is said to have what kind of appellate jurisdiction?
Firdavs [7]

A court that has a choice as to whether or not to hear the appeal is said to have discretionary appellate jurisdiction.

What is discretionary appellate jurisdiction?

A discretionary appeal is one in which the appellate court has the final say over whether to accept a party's request to appeal a lower court ruling. The appellant party must typically submit a writ of certiorari to the appellate court for a discretionary appeal.

Why is discretionary jurisdiction important?

Using this authority, appellate courts can decline to hear an appeal. However, regardless of the nature of the case, an appellate court must review cases from lower courts if it is present in a jurisdiction with mandatory review. With discretionary review, courts can manage their caseloads.

Which of the following is an INCORRECT statement regarding small claims courts?
xenn [34]

Answer:

The Correct Option is B: Generally, the parties have lawyers represent them in small claims court.

Explanation:

Small claim courts are small courts with limited jurisdiction to hear cases between two private litigants who are civilians. There are other judicial functions that may be bestowed upon small claim courts and hence they have different names in varying jurisdictions. In some areas they may call it magistrate court, while some areas may call it county court. Many states do not permit representation by a lawyer in small case courts. Because one thing these courts are known for is inexpensiveness.
