Answer:

<u>x = 14</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

4x + (2x + 6) = 90

6x + 6 = 90

subtract both sides by 6:

6x + 6 <em>- 6 </em>=<em> </em>90 <em>- 6</em>

6x = 84

divide both sides by 6

6x/6 = 84/6

x = 14

double check:

4*14 + (2*14 + 6) = 90

56 + 28 + 6 = 90

Have a nice day!

Suppose C1;C2;C3 are three didifferent biased coins, whose probability of heads equals 0.4, 0.5, and 0.2 respectively. Suppose c
allochka39001 [22]

Solution :

$ P(A \cap B) = P(\text{coin}\ C_1 \text{ chosen and 4 heads in 10 trails})$

                $= \frac{1}{3} \times ^{10}C_4 \times 0.4^4 \times 0.6^6$

               = 0.0836

P(B)= P(coin $C_1$ chosen and 4 heads in 10 trails) + P(coin $C_2$ chosen and 4 heads in 10 trail) + P(coin $C_3$ chosen and 4 heads in 10 trail)

     $=\frac{1}{3}\times ^{10}C_4 \times 0.4^4 \times 0.6^6 + \frac{1}{3}\times ^{10}C_4 \times 0.5^4 \times 0.5^6 + \frac{1}{3}\times ^{10}C_4 \times 0.2^4 \times 0.8^6$

    $=0.0836+0.0684+0.0294$

    $=0.1813$

P(A|B) = $\frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(B)}$

          $=\frac{0.0836}{0.1813}$

         $=0.4611$

What is the differences between Mathematics and Science
miss Akunina [59]
I’m not sure if you’re looking for a specific answer, but on a broad spectrum science is typically just applied mathematics. Math can be incorporated into all sciences, especially physics. On occasion, science can also be included in math, like when using derivatives to find the acceleration of a moving object. All in all though, the two subject are very connected.

Nate is 10 9/12 years old. How old will he be in 2 1/12 more years?
gayaneshka [121]

To do this, start simple first.

Add 10 and 2

10 + 2 = 12

Now add the fractions:

9/12 + 1/12 = 10/12

Simplify: 5/6

Nate will be 12 and 5/6 years old.

Svetradugi [14.3K]
The order does not matter, so we will be using combinations here. 52C1 is the first one since there is only one possibility. 16C1 is the second. You have to multiply these two, so 52 X 16 = 832.
