Hygge is like coziness. For example it would be lying down under a blanket to watch a movie with hot chocolate. It gives you a sense of well-being. Happiness is pure joy. An example would be going to an amusement park with your friends. So they both make you have a sense of well-being, but one is coziness and one is joy.
