The US had a policy of separate noninterference for 150 years established by our first president, George Washington. President George Washington established the model that separate noninterference would be the most reliable way to assure our national safety. We attempted to continue uninvolved even though Eur-Asia had TWO WORLD WARS competed there. However, the strike on Pearl Harbor transformed everything. We no prolonged felt secure within our boundaries and understood that we had to actively engage the world to keep warnings away from our borders.
