Answer:

let's use Pythagoras theorem,

h²=b²+l²

so,

ad²=ac²+dc²

6²=ac²+3²

36-9=ac²=27

√27 can be written as 3√3,

hence ac= 3√3

Okay all triangles add up to 180 degrees. So subtract 38 from 180 and since the other angles are congruent divide by two. X=71

Cab companies often charge a flat fee for picking someone up and then charge an additional fee per mile driven. Pick a U.S. city
insens350 [35]

Answer:

<u>1. New York City:</u> The initial charge is $ 2.50 plus $ 0.50 per 1/5 mile when traveling above 12 mph or per 60 seconds in slow traffic or when the vehicle is stopped. There are other surcharges for overnight, rush hour or congestion.

<u>2. Boston:</u> First 1/7 Mile: $2.60  and each 1/7 Mile thereafter: $0.40.

<u>3. Houston:</u> First 1/11 mile  $2.80 , each additional 1/11 mile  $0.20 . Rate per mile after first mile  $2.20 and wait time per minute  $0.40.

Step-by-step explanation:

Normally, there's a standard fare for each city, so for answering the question we picked three well-known cities for comparing the fares.

Maddy lleva un bote con bebida para deportistas; el bote de 5 55 litros pesa 7 , 5 kg 7,5 kg7, comma, 5, start text, space, k, g
Kaylis [27]

Answer: 3\ kilograms

Step-by-step explanation:

It is important to remember that, by definition, proportional relationships have the following form:

y=kx

Where "k" is the constant of proportionality.

 We know that Maddy assume that the relation between the volume and the weight is proportional.

Then, let be "V" the volume in liters and "w" the weight in kilograms.

We can write the following equation:

V=kw

 So, if the boat of 555 liters weights 7.5 kilograms, we can find "k":

555 =k(7)\\\\k=\frac{555}{7}\\\\k=74

In order to solve the exercise, substitute the value of "k" and V=222 into the equation and solve for "w". Then:

222=(74)w\\\\\frac{222}{74}=w\\\\w=3

Carlos has a fair die and a number cube. He will flip the fair die one time and roll the number cube one time. What is the proba
saul85 [17]

Answer: 0.42 and 5 outcomes.

Step-by-step explanation:

i guess that carlos has a fair coin and a number cube.

the probability can be calculated as the number of outcomes that we want divided the total number of outcomes.

The coin has two possible outcomes, heads and tails, then the probability of getting heads is p1 =1/2

the number cube has 6 numbers, 5 of those 6 numbers are greater than 1, then the probability of getting a number greater than 1 is p2 =5/6

the joint probability is the product of those two:

P = 1/2*5/6 = 5/12 = 0.42

The combinations that include heads and number greater than 1 are 5 combinations:

Heads and 2

Heads and 3

Heads and 4

Heads and 5

Heads and 6.
