When in-person, I love celebrating holidays with my students, including Halloween and Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day, especial

ly, is really fun because I get to bring in candy and write little notes to all of my students. Every year, I spend about $50 on Valentine's Day for my students in order to buy bags of candy and little valentines. Every bag of candy costs $5, and every bundle of valentines costs $2. Because the bags of candy come with a lot more than the bundle of valentines, the number of bundles of valentines I buy is 4 more than the number of bags of candy I buy.

Nat2105 [25]

Distance Formula: \sqrt{(x_{2} - x_{1})^2 + (y_{2} - y_{1})^2}

Point 1: (9,0)

Point 2: (5,-8)

D = sqrt[ (5 - 9)^2 + (-8 - 0)^2 ]

D = sqrt[ (-4)^2 + (-8)^2 ]

D = sqrt[ 16 + 64]

D = sqrt(80)

Hope this helps!
