Why was nullification considered a states' rights issue?
Svetach [21]
To nullify is to discontinue or not allow a certain law to be in a certain state, meaning that the state has the right to choose if it would abide by that federal law or not.
It was a state's rights issue because states couldn't do their own thing, they all had the exact same laws.

According to this excerpt from the broken spears, how was christianity spread in mexico?
Alex777 [14]

The Christianity, more specifically the Catholic Christianity, was spread in Mexico mostly by force. This task was performed by the Catholic missionaries, with the assistance of the military. They were forcing the local population to get converted and leave their own native religion behind them, and the methods were anything from verbal persuasion, to torture, and even murder of the ones that were not willing to accept the new faith. The missionaries went so far that they even destroyed pretty much everything (apart from 4 pieces) written about the Mayan religion in an attempt to show their superiority, and also to leave the natives without any basis so that they can continue to practice it.
