If x=-3, then the solution of the equation 2x+6 is ?
Vlada [557]

Hello!

if x = -3, just substitute it for x (replace the x with -3)

2(-3) + 6 = 0

2 * -3 = -6

-6 + 6 = 0

I hope this helps, and have a nice day!

1, 5, 17, 53, ... Use inductive reasoning to create a general rule for the sequence. A. Multiply by 3, then add 2. B. Multiply b
Basile [38]
The answer to this problem is the letter "A" which is "Multiply by 3, then add 2"
and can be written a N = 3n + 2
At first, we have initial value such n = 1
Then the second value is:
N = 3*1 + 2
N = 5
The third value is:
N = 3*5 + 2
N=17
The next values are:
N = 3*17 + 2
N= 53
The letter "A" is the inductive reasoning to the given sequence.

a computer and printer a totoal cost $1132 the cost of the computer is three times the cost of the ptinter
zavuch27 [327]
Use a system of equations

C+P=1132
3P=C

Substitute C in first equation as
3P+P=1132
Simplify
4P=1132
Solve
P=1132/4
P=283

NOW SOLVE FOR C SUBSTITUTING P VALUE IN FIRST EQUATION

C+283=1132
C=1132-283
C=849

Printer = 283$
Computer = 849$

Adam got 97, 70, 89, 99, 100, 78, 79, 89, 77, and 72 on his reading test. What is the mean of Adam's reading test?
ipn [44]

Answer: 85

Add up all the numbers: 97+70+89+99+100+78+79+89+77+72=850

Divide 850 by the amount of numbers:

850/10=85

I hope this helps and good luck! :)
