Answer:

<em>$4.75</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

(had) 8.25 + (deposited) 2.25 = (total) 10.50

10.50 - (withdrew) 5.75 = (total left) 4.75

Answer:

$4.75

Step-by-step explanation:

(Deposit: Add, put in/Withdraw: subtract, take out)

Add $8.25 + $2.25 and you get $10.50. Now subtract that number with $5.75, so $10.50 - $5.75 is a total of $4.75. Mike has $4.75 left in his account.

Use the cross product property to solve each equation: 5/7 = x/9
enot [183]

Answer:

x = 45/7

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{5}{7} =\frac{x}{9}

Here, you can more easily see what the fractions look like.

In order to cross-multiply, you have to multiply 5 with 9, and 7 with x.

45 = 7x

Then, you isolate x by dividing 7 on both sides:

45/7 = x

Hope I helped :)

How do I solve this????
Arlecino [84]
Let's say the numbers are "a" and "b"
hmm say "a" is the smaller, and "b" the greater

so "b" is "4 more than 5 times" "a"

so... 5 times "a" is 5*a or 5a
4 more than "that", will be "that" + 4
or
5a + 4

so.. whatever "a" is, "b" is 5a+4

now, their sum is 22, as opposed to "zz" hehe

so       \bf \begin{cases}&#10;a+b=22\\&#10;--------------\\&#10;\boxed{b}=5a+4\qquad thus\\&#10;--------------\\&#10;a+\boxed{5a+4}=22&#10;\end{cases}

solve for "a", to see what the smaller one is

what's "b"?  well, b = 5a + 4

You measure 20 turtles' weights, and find they have a mean weight of 45 ounces. Assume the population standard deviation is 11.5
Naily [24]

Answer: the maximal margin of error associated with a 90% confidence interval for the true population mean turtle weight = 4.23

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for margin of error : E=\dfrac{z^*\times (Population\ standard\ deviation)}{\sqrt{Sample\ size}}

, where z* = Critical z-value.

Given: population standard deviation = 11.5 ounces

Sample size = 20

Z value for 90% confidence level = 1.645

margin of error (E) = \dfrac{1.645\times11.5}{\sqrt{20}}

\approx4.23

Hence, the maximal margin of error associated with a 90% confidence interval for the true population mean turtle weight = 4.23
