<span>Urbanization improved the quality of life for the working, middle and elite classes. The citizens were given faster modes of travel and the inventions such as the telephone and electricity helped improve life at home and work and offered more ways to communicate with each other. Many more people moved to big cities due to more job opportunities, which were created due to more hours being available and companies incorporating new technology like electricity and assembly lines. This in turn increased the number of houses and buildings in cities. Agriculture became less important and industrial work became more important for the working class.</span>
Both Sargon and Hammurabi were leaders of the Mesopotamia. According to legend, the mother of Sargon abandoned him in a basket in a river; as a man he worked in Kish, a Sumerian city-state, which he took over and later created an empire which he ruled for over fifty years. Similarly to Sargon´s accomplishments, Hammurabi also took over an important city, Larsa; he later took the whole of Mesopotamia; he is best known for his creation of a Law Code.
The poor standing of Leopold the 2nd is most probably attributed to the role he had in the extermination of huge amounts of people in Belgian colonies at the time. This wasn't known at the time, but today we known that Leopold the 2nd had ordered a genocide over the Congonese people.

- Mau Mau attacks on individuals and settlements loyal to Britain.
- failure of a 1950 ban to stop the growth of the Mau Mau Rebellion.

As anti-colonial sentiment spread across Africa after World War II, Kenya was no different and the Mau Mau organization was one of those that pushed for independence in Kenya.
They went about it violently however by attacking individuals and settlements that were seen as pro-British and therefore had government protection.
This led to a ban in 1950 to stop the growth of the Mau Mau organization. This ban failed however, as the Mau Mau only grew in numbers and popularity.
In the end, the governor had to declare a state of emergency to deal with the Mau Mau Uprising.
