The authors of the paper "Fudging the Numbers: Distributing Chocolate Influences Student Evaluations of an Undergraduate Course"

† carried out a study to see if events unrelated to an undergraduate course could affect student evaluations. Students enrolled in statistics courses taught by the same instructor participated in the study. All students attended the same lectures and one of six discussion sections that met once a week. At the end of the course, the researchers chose three of the discussion sections to be the "chocolate group." Students in these three sections were offered chocolate prior to having them fill out course evaluations. Students in the other three sections were not offered chocolate. The researchers concluded that "Overall, students offered chocolate gave more positive evaluations than students not offered chocolate." Indicate whether the study is an observational study or an experiment. Give a brief explanation for your choice.

The study is an experimental study – not an observational one. This is clear from how the research methodology is explained in the question. An observational study would not have a manipulated variable – while manipulation of a variable (usually independent variable) is crucial for experimental research.

The manipulated variable in the research study is the chocolate offer, with two possible treatments – given chocolate, or not given chocolate. Based on the conducted research it is clear that the group of students who were offered chocolate gave more positive evaluations for the course than the group of students who weren’t offered chocolate.

Answer:

Explanation below

Explanation:

It should be understood that sub-sahara African countries are the countries that are found below the sahara region. And some of them are Gambia, Ghana, Benin,Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Nigeria and so on.

The incidence of having no access to safe drinking water has brought a lot of problems to this region. For example, most of their citizens are exposed to epidemic of diseases or infections which are water borne such as cholera, typhoid among others. And this has made their government to divert the money which can be used for other developmental projects in treating those infected. Also making use of those money to provide safe drinking water for them.

If you had a choice of what type of reproduction you would use to take over the planet which one would it be
dolphi86 [110]

Answer: Asexual

Explanation:

Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction that does not involve the fusion of gametes or change in the number of chromosomes. The offspring that arise by asexual reproduction from either unicellular or multicellular organisms inherit the full set of genes of their single parent. Asexual reproduction is the primary form of reproduction for single-celled organisms such as archaea and bacteria. Many eukaryotic organisms including plants, animals, and fungi can also reproduce asexually. In vertebrates, the most common form of asexual reproduction is parthenogenesis, which is typically used as an alternative to sexual reproduction in times when reproductive opportunities are limited.
