Find and write down the line from early in the chapter that foreshadows the trouble Jem will have when he tries to flee the Radl
Usimov [2.4K]

"It was a tight squeeze for him," says the passage in the Chapter that "foreshadows" the difficulty Jem will face leaving the Radleys' back yard.

What is a foreshadowing?

Foreshadowing is frequently used at the start of a tale or chapter. Look for signals of probable conflict between characters.

Look for indications that something is not as it appears. Pay special attention to any elements that appear unique or have a strong emotional impact. These are some hints for spotting foreshadowing.

It should be noted that in the chapter referenced above, the kids had been lurking about the Radley house, trying to catch a glimpse of Boo through the window. They had to crawl under a tiny fence to get into the rear yard.

The fence is a tight fit coming in, as it will be later when Jem's pants get hooked on it.
