Now that you know the height of the cone how can you solve for the slant height?

Answer:

imagine a triangle

one side is just upwards trough the cone, one side is the radius of the circle and the last one is the slant height.

remember the pythagoras stuff

so

(slantheight)² = radius² + height²

or finally:

slantheight = squareroot (radius² + height²)

f the centripetal and thus frictional force between the tires and the roadbed of a car moving in a circular path were reduced, w
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
The frictional force between the tires and the road prevent the car from skidding off the road due to centripetal force.

If the frictional force is less than the centripetal force, the car will skid when it navigates a circular path.

The diagram below shows that when the car travels at tangential velocity, v, on a circular path with radius, r, the centripetal acceleration of v²/ r acts toward the center of the circle.

The resultant centripetal force is (mv²)/r, which should be balanced by the frictional force of μmg, where μ =  coefficient of kinetic friction., and mg is the normal reaction on a car with mass, m.

This principle is applied on racing tracks, where the road is inclined away from the circle to give the car an extra restoring force  to overcome the centripetal force.

The value of a plot of land is S18 000.00.
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

$126

Step-by-step explanation:

The plot of land is worth $18,000 and the tax on the land is $0.70 per $100. You would divide 18000 by 100 which is 180. Then you would multiply 180*0.70 which is $126.

James bought Nicole a pair of shoes for $54.99 and a bracelet for $21.99. He used a 15% off coupon and then paid 7.5% sales tax.
mina [271]

Answer:

$70.34

Step-by-step explanation:

The total before the coupon and tax is:

$54.99 + $21.99 = $76.98

Now apply the 15% coupon:

Since the total price is 100% of the price, when you apply a 15% coupon, you pay 100% - 15% = 85% of the price. We need to find 85% of $76.98

85% * $76.98 =

= 0.85 * $76.98

= $65.43

The price after the 15% coupon, but before the tax, is $65.43

Now the total $65.43 is considered 100% of the price. The tax is 7.5%.

100% + 7.5% = 107.5%

Now we find 107.5% of $65.43

107.5% of $65.43 =

= 1.075 * $65.43

= $70.34

Answer: $70.34

Lila evaluates the expression using the following steps:(−7.13+63.97)+(−54.8−3.4)−71.1+(−58.2)−129.3Describe the error that Lila
mihalych1998 [28]

Lila's error was that she added -7.13 to 63.97 to get -71.1

Lila steps are as folows

(−7.13 + 63.97) + (−54.8 − 3.4) = −71.1 + (−58.2) = −129.3

In the first bracket, Lila was suppose to subtract 7.31 from 63.97 since there is a negative in front of 7.31.

So, the correct expression should be

(−7.13 + 63.97) + (−54.8 − 3.4) = 56.84 + (−58.2) = 56.84 - 58.2 = −1.36

So, Lila's error was that she added -7.13 to 63.97 to get -71.1
