ok so since the total measurement is 180° and you know that 1 of the sides is 40° and the other 2 are the same you will just need to subtract 40 from 180 and split that in half

here's the formula

(180 - 40) \div 2 =  \\ 140 \div 2 =  \\ 70

therefore

x=70°

Select the two binomials that are factors of this trinomial.<br> x2 - x - 12
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

x² - x - 12 = (x - 4)(x - 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the trinomial x² - x - 12.

We have to show two binomials to be factors of this above trinomial.

For this first we have to factorize the trinomial.

Now, x² - x - 12

= x² - 4x + 3x - 12

= x(x - 4) + 3(x - 4)

= (x - 4)(x - 3)

So the binomials are (x - 4) and (x - 3) that are factors of the trinomial x² - x - 12. (Answer)

A, B and C are the vertices of a triangle.
qwelly [4]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Use midpoint formula to find the coordinates of each midpoint.

(x, y) = (½ (x₁ + x₂), ½(y₁ + y₂))

Coordinates of D:

(x, y) = (½ (4 + 2), ½(6 + -2))

(x, y) = (3, 2)

Coordinates of E:

(x, y) = (½ (4 + -2), ½(6 + -4))

(x, y) = (1, 1)

Slope of DE:

m = Δy / Δx

m = (2 − 1) / (3 − 1)

m = 1/2

Slope of BC:

m = Δy / Δx

m = (-2 − -4) / (2 − -2)

m = 1/2

Therefore, DE is parallel to BC.
