The Table below is a data set that lists how many pairs of shoes are owned by some of your classmates.
Pani-rosa [81]

Answer:

7.5

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>To find the median, first order the numbers from least to greatest:</u>

2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 8, 10, 12

<u>Then, find the middle number (number in the middle):</u>

There are 2 middle numbers. 7 and 8.

Because there are 2 numbers, we need to find the average. If there was only one number, that would be the median.

<u>To find the average, add 7 and 8. Then, divide the sum by 2 because there are 2 numbers;</u>

7 + 8 = 15

15 / 2 = 7.5

If log10(x^{2}y^{3})=7 and log10 (x/y)=1 , then x=__ and y= __
yuradex [85]

Answer:

x=100

y=10

Step-by-step explanation:

we are given

log_1_0(\frac{x}{y})=1

Firstly, we will get rid of log

so, we will take exponent over 10 on both sides

10^{log_1_0(\frac{x}{y})}=10^{1}

now, we can simplify it

\frac{x}{y}=10

now, we can solve for x

x=10y

we are given

log_1_0(x^2y^3)=7

Firstly, we will get rid of log

so, we will take exponent of 10 on both sides

10^{log_1_0(x^2y^3)}=10^7

x^2y^3=10^7

now, we can plug back x from first equation

(10y)^2y^3=10^7

now, we can solve for y

100y^5=10000000

\frac{100y^5}{100}=\frac{10000000}{100}

y^5=100000

now, we can take radical 5

y=\sqrt[5]{100000}

y=10

now, we can find x

x=10\times 10

x=100

So, solution is

x=100

y=10

What is the area of the triangle?
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

24

Step-by-step explanation:

base (b) = 8

height (h) = 6

A = bh/2

= 8x6/2

= 48/2

= 24

Therefore the area is 24 square units

Does anyone know how to do these? I don’t want the answers I need someone to explain how to do them so I can solve it. Thanks
ElenaW [278]

Hi! This type of equation is actully really simple to solve once you learn how so I'll only do a few and let you solve the rest.

To solve 3x + 6 = 18 you just need to remember that whatever action you do on one side of the equal sign you have to do on the other as well, and you just need to get the variable isolated on one side and the constant on the other.

So subtract 6 from both of the constants (6 and 18) to get to 3x = 12.

Then divide both sides by 3 to isolate x and you get x = 4.

To solve x/7 -9 = -7  you have to add 9 to both sides to get x/7 = 2. Then because it's a fraction with a denominator of 7 you multiply both sides by 7 to get x = 14.

To solve 8x - 2x = -36 you combine like terms to get 6x = -36 then divide both sides by 6 to get x = -6.

Hope this is what you were looking for and explained in an understandable way, if not I apologize. :)
