If you forgive someone, you don’t automatically trust them again. If they did you something wrong in the past, you might forgive them to move on from the situation but you might not trust them again because you are now aware to the things that they’ve done in the last. Old wounds can’t heal without trust or assurances

but for me, it is already hard to trust people, because you never know when someone bertrays you or do you wrong, and for someone who did once already, they can do it twice. because no one fully understands the other.

-old wounds can never heal completely whether there is trust or not. because a part of you will always wish they did.
